BOOTS ON THE GROUND
Our focus is on raising awareness and practical, on the ground support for rural Tasmanians to improve their wellbeing.
‘Boots on the Ground’ is a partnership formed between Rotary Tasmania Community Care, Tasmanian Women in Agriculture and Rural Alive and Well in response to concerns about rural Tasmanian’s mental health and wellbeing. We are combining our capabilities and expertise with a common purpose of assisting and improving rural Tasmania’s mental health and wellbeing.
Inspiring and supporting Rotary Clubs to improve the wellness of people in local communities.
Rotary Tasmania Community Care is a committee under the banner of Rotary Tasmania. It was set up in June 2019 to specifically focus on improving the wellbeing of Tasmanians.
To connect, support and celebrate rural women
Tasmanian Women in Agriculture are dedicated, committed women involved in Tasmanian rural communities and industries. Their vision is a valued rural community that is connected, resilient and vibrant.
Rural Alive & Well is a Tasmanian not-for-profit organisation helping individuals, families and the community through mental health issues with a focus on reducing the prevalence of suicide in rural communities. We reach out to rural Tasmanians, aiming to reduce the rates of suicide in rural communities by assisting and supporting communities and individuals to respond to adversity through early intervention, facilitation and prevention.
